(Formerly Hughes Capital Management, LLC)

Our Leadership Team
We realize that managing money, running a firm, and growing a firm requires different skill sets. Rarely do people come together to launch a firm where each of the partners has expertise in each of these areas. The breadth and depth of experience of our people in each of these areas bring stability and significant potential for growth to the enterprise that many emerging firms do not possess.
Richard T. Deary - President
Mr. Deary has over 20 years’ experience in the investment industry. Prior to forming the firm that would eventually acquire Hughes Capital Management, Inc. and Atlantic Asset Management, LLC, Mr. Deary was a partner at LM Capital Advisors where he was responsible for business development. During his 14-year tenure at the firm, he raised approximately $6 billion in assets from clients across the institutional spectrum including corporate, public and Taft-Hartley pension plans, foundations and endowments. In his role as President, he employs his unique combination of knowledge of the investment management process and the needs of institutional clients together to oversee the investment, client service and business development divisions. In addition to his management duties, he brings the skills he refined at previous firms including designing all marketing material, and supervising the completion of Requests for Proposals. Mr. Deary began his career at Collins & Associates, a hedge fund of funds firm as the director of the firm’s business development efforts.
Mr. Deary graduated cum laude from Oakland University Honors College in Michigan and holds a BA in Communications. He also serves on the Oakland University Honors College Advisory Board and previously served as a regional Executive Board Member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
Daniel Turney - Managing Director, Corporate Administration
Mr. Turney has over 10 years of experience in the investment industry. In his position, he oversees the HR, General Administration, and Portfolio Administration (operations) divisions within the firm. Mr. Turney joined Hughes Capital Management in 2005 as the firm’s Administrative Assistant; since Hughes was acquired, he has risen through the company to serve as part of the leadership team, working closely with the CEO on corporate administration issues. In 2000, Mr. Turney graduated from Radford University with a BA in Art History and Museum Studies.
